To explore large distances in the beautiful nature, we recommend a fat bike, mountain bike or gravel bike tour. Here there are lots of paths locally and along the Råne river valley and many kilometers of dirt roads. Fatbikes have big wide tires and are challenging but a great way to cover lots of different terrain including sand, undergrowth, rocks and rough trails. You will become one with your mountain bike on a variety of terrains. Dirt bikes are road bikes that are specially designed for dirt roads and you can easily cover longer distances.

Fishing is a fun and great way to explore the local nature. In the beautiful river and nearby lakes you will find fish such as pike, grayling, perch and even salmon. We go out in the small fishing boat or along the beach and find good places to fish. We fish with lures and your guide advises you on which ones to use. Duration 3+ hours including a light lunch.
Enjoy breakfast and then take the opportunity to borrow fishing rods, bicycles or canoes for adventures on your own! Enjoy a private dinner set up just for you.
At Arctic Retreat, the kitchen is a key feature of the experience. Their own locally inspired cooking is the basis of the menu and this is sometimes supplemented by local guest chefs. Together, they use the best local ingredients including fish, game, vegetables, berries and mushrooms from the region and cook them with recipes from Swedish and Sami culture to create fantastic dishes that are simple, tasty and healthy.
Accommodation at Arctic Retreat is unique – you live in a rustic log cabin with a large window facing nature. Inside the cabin you will find all the modern conveniences you could wish for and of course a fireplace.
Out on the deck you have a private jacuzzi and next door you will also find a wood-burning sauna. The smell of smoke mixes with the sounds of nature. Magically.
From the end of August you can experience the Aurora Borealis or what we call the Northern Lights in Sweden. It is truly a magical experience.

– It is an important milestone that increases the confidence of consumers, nature tourism companies and other stakeholders looking for sustainable alternatives.
The recognition means that the quality mark has undergone a thorough review by GSTC’s experts to ensure that it meets its global standards.
– It is an important quality seal, which means that Nature’s Best Sweden now joins a group of well-known sustainability systems such as EarthCheck, Green Key and Ecotourism Australia, to name a few.
The Naturens Bästa quality label, of which Naturturismföretagen is the principal, has, during the roughly 20 years that it has existed, always been a solid system for nature tourism companies to ensure the quality of their operations.
