At Reethi Beach Resort you can choose between a number of different villas in slightly different price ranges. Water villas are the most exclusive and are located with the entire sea outside.
Here you will also find wonderful villas that suit the whole family or villas in the middle of the beach if there are only two of you. The villas are comfortable and tastefully decorated.
You will not go hungry during your stay. There are 5 different restaurants to choose from and 4 bars – just choose what suits you for the day..casual, fine dining or just snacks.
Reethi beach is located in the middle of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve – and close to the famous Hanifaru Bay where you have the opportunity to see manta rays and even whale sharks during the southwest monsoon. As this is a marine protected area, strict regulations are in place to protect and preserve this amazing natural wonder to preserve the manta rays in the bay. The best time to see these majestic animals is from May to November. During this period, plankton gets stuck in the funnel-like reef, which can cause hundreds of manta rays to feed in the bay – a unique natural experience!
The Maldives offers world-class diving and snorkeling. Reethi Beach has a 5 star Padi diving center where you can get your diving certificate and go on diving or snorkeling trips. Baa Atoll has its fair share of channels to explore, with dramatic underwater landscapes teeming with marine life. Over 30 dive sites can be reached within 30 minutes by dhoni, many of the famous submerged reefs are close at hand!

Green Globe Certification offers one of the world’s most recognized and longest running programs enabling Reethi Beach Resort to become one of the green leaders in the travel and tourism industry, confidently promoting their environmental credentials alongside their commitment to the people and prosperity of the Maldives. That was the reason why they accepted the challenge and wanted to become Green Globe certified in 2021. The goal is to constantly improve their sustainability work and to achieve a consistent improvement in connection with their annual review. Sustainability within the resort is defined as “carrying out its operations in line with the company’s guiding principles of being aware of global environmental issues and recognizing its responsibility towards the environment. While the well-being of our guests remains at the forefront, we are committed to conducting business in a sustainable manner, taking all steps to minimize the operational impact on and preserve the environment wherever we operate.

Founder of the Baa Atoll Project in 2007, an informal NGO for all resorts and diving schools in Baa Atoll working for the prohibition of shark fishing and trade in shark products, protection of dive sites and support to local communities and international campaigns.
Leader in having BAP officially registered as an NGO, giving it more weight in local and regional agendas. So far, BAP has been a key player with a crucial role in hosting the workshop on “Enhancing the Resilience of Coral Reefs and Assessing Vulnerability of Ecological and Social Communities to Climate Change” in July 2011, to launch the nationwide project sponsored by Kuoni Travel, Switzerland and IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature) with a focus on climate change and effects on coral reefs in the Maldives.
Introduction of a nationwide ban on trade in all shark products.
Introduction and implementation of fish catch and fish purchase policy for all locations within the atoll.
Declaration of Baa Atoll as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Introduction and implementation of a management plan for Hanifaru Bay, including “MoUs” for snorkeling and diving.
Agreement between the resorts within the atoll to stop diving in the area during the 2011 season – a year before the planned introduction. After training, with Sea Explorer Divers, the first official Hanifaru Bay Marine Ranger.
Conducted the mapping of the entire reef system to monitor coral growth and bleaching and marine life abundance in line with the IUCN project to implement a reef management system for individual islands/resorts. Reethi Beach spearheaded this project in the Maldives.
Installation of temperature loggers around the island to monitor sea water temperature in line with the IUCN programme.
